EM Acoustics debuts new monitors at PLASA Focus

EM Acoustics will exhibit at the Royal Armouries Museum in May at the now well-established annual PLASA Focus Leeds trade show and exhibition. Expanding further this year with the addition of The Pavilion providing extra stand space for exhibitors, PLASA Focus continues to grow year on year and is regarded as the premier pro audio and lighting trade show serving the North of England region.

Exhibiting on Stand N-C12 on the 10th and 11th May, EM Acoustics will be showcasing its new M-C12 and M-C15 coaxial stage monitors which are finding widespread acceptance among high end rental companies. Consisting of 12-inch/1.3-inch and 15-inch/1.3-inch coaxial drive units respectively, these two new space-saving monitors incorporate signature EM Acoustics passive crossovers for unprecedented frequency and phase response, and represent fundamentals of the company’s core design principles: signal purity and simplicity of operation – delivering excellent gain before feedback, and requiring only one amplifier channel and zero external processing.

As well as providing true point-source performance from a compact footprint for floor monitoring applications, the M-C12 and M-C15 both feature recessed 35mm pole mount sockets and M8 threaded rigging points, which allow them to be usefully deployed as powerful front-of-house loudspeakers in many corporate applications.

Also on display will be the new DQ20 Advanced System Amplifier, the largest of three models in the DQ series and capable of up to 20,000 watts total output power, and the complete software suite that provides comprehensive remote control and monitoring of a complex loudspeaker system.

Operations director Mike Wheeler and sales and marketing director David Kelland will be pleased to welcome visitors to the stand at PLASA Focus. “This will be the first year that we’ve exhibited in Leeds,” says Wheeler, “and we believe the small-scale, intimate atmosphere to be a pleasant antidote to some of the larger events. It gives us the opportunity to meet face-to-face with our existing customers and to greet new ones, and to present our new products in a focused manner.”
